QUALIFICATIONS

THE EXPERIENCE WE NEED
  • 1992 Graduate of Summit County Sheriff’s Office Police Academy and Corrections Academy; serving as Summit County Special Deputy, then Lakemore Village Police Officer in 1993. 
     

  • Became a Summit County Deputy Sheriff in 1995. Advanced within the Sheriff’s office through Sergeant level (2003) and Lieutenant (2007), serving as Jail Shift Commander, and  Court Services Commander.
     

  • Became Summit County Sheriff’s Office Captain (2016) - Civil Process Commander and Fiscal Office Commander, Special Projects.
     

  • In 2008, became the first female in Summit County Sheriff’s Office history to attend the prestigious FBI National Academy of Leadership in Quantico, Virginia

Will partner with community organizations to provide treatment for mental health issues for nonviolent drug addicts and those suffering from opioid addiction.

Will search for a Professional Jail Manager to run the jail, stay in compliance with the laws, make it safer and provide proper staff training in Critical Incident and Verbal De-escalation training - reducing physical conflicts and improving care, custody, and control of our inmate population.
